Object Duplicates

Objects with identical values in base fields are considered duplicates. Duplicate tracking for the selected object type allows you to:

  • View the total number of duplicate objects for the selected type
  • View duplicate values for each base field and objects duplicated by that criterion
  • Delete duplicate objects

Total Number of Duplicate Objects

Above the table, you can see the number of duplicates found for the type selected in the Select type dropdown. If no duplicates exist for the selected type, this information is not shown.

Duplicates List

To open the duplicates list:

  1. Select Objects in the User Behavior Analytics section of the navigation menu.
  2. Select the required object type in the Select type dropdown above the table.
  3. If duplicates exist for the selected type, the Duplicates found panel appears.
  4. Click the Duplicates found panel to open the modal with the duplicates list.

This modal contains a table with:

  • Duplicate field
  • Duplicate field value
  • List of duplicate objects for each duplicate field/value criterion (collapsed by default)

To view duplicate objects, expand a row by clicking the arrow in the leftmost column.

When hovering over a duplicate object identifier in the list, a tooltip displays the system object identifier.


Deleting Duplicates

Duplicates are deleted through the duplicates list modal, opened as described in Duplicates list.

Two deletion modes are available:

  • Single deletion
  • Bulk deletion

Single Deletion

To delete one duplicate object:

  1. Open the duplicates list modal as described in Duplicates list
  2. Expand the required duplicates row
  3. In the duplicates table, find the object
  4. Click the Delete button (trash icon) in the object row

  1. In the confirmation modal, click Delete

  1. The object is removed from both the duplicates list and the objects list
Attention!

These actions permanently delete the object.

Bulk Deletion

To delete multiple duplicate objects:

  1. Open the duplicates list modal as described in Duplicates list
  2. Expand the required duplicates row
  3. In the duplicates table, locate the objects to delete
  4. Select required objects using checkboxes in the leftmost column
  5. Click Delete <n> objects, located above the duplicates table in the modal

Bulk duplicate object deletion

  1. In the confirmation modal, click Delete
