Setting up Data Collection Connection from APKSH "Continent"

The settings described below are performed for all network devices.

Setting up data transmission via syslog

  1. In the CU Management program, call the context menu of the network device and select Properties:

  2. Go to the Logs section:

  3. In the External System Logs parameter group, click the + button. A window for adding a server will open:

  4. Set the following parameter values:

    • Address — IP address of the Smart Monitor Data Collector server
    • Port — port number through which connection to the Smart Monitor Data Collector server occurs
    • Detail Level — in the dropdown list, select the Debug level

Setting up data transmission via SNMP

  1. In the CU Management program, go to the Administrators tab:

  2. In the context menu, select Administratorlocal administrator KS:

  3. Specify login and password for the account

  4. Select network devices, check the SNMP Access field and click OK

  5. Go to the Continent Network Devices - Crypto Gateways section

  6. Select a network device and click the Properties button. A window containing the network device properties will appear on the screen:

  7. In the left part of the window, select the SNMP section. The current SNMP access settings will appear in the right part of the window:

  8. Enable SNMP monitoring service, select SNMP v3 version, specify authentication algorithm SHA and encryption algorithm AES

  9. In the Receiving Connection Address field, select the IP address of the required management interface

  10. In the Hosts tab, in the List of Allowed IP Addresses field, you need to specify the IP address of the Smart Monitor Data Collector server. To do this, click the + button, in the opened window specify the allowed IP address, mask and click the OK button:
