Role Management

Role management includes:

• adding a role
• modifying a role
• deleting a role
• role reference

Adding a Role

This section allows you to add roles. To do this, you need to:

• select a role (internal OpenSearch role)
• select servers
• enter file permissions (glob patterns). Optional field
• enter file restrictions (glob patterns). Optional field
• enter path permissions (glob patterns). Optional field
• enter path restrictions (glob patterns). Optional field
• select and/or enter masking (json, yml, toml)
  • to enter masking, type a key and press Enter. The template will be saved in Masking Presets and displayed in the field. Optional field
• select and/or enter masking
  • To enter masking, type a value (regex) and press Enter. The template will be saved in Masking Presets and displayed in the field. Optional field
• click the Add Role button

If Export files to index is selected, the value Maximum rows in export must be greater than 0.

Modifying a Role

This section allows you to modify an already added role. To do this, you need to:

• modify the data
• click the Update Role button

Deleting a Role

This section allows you to delete a role. To do this, you need to:

• navigate to the role modification section
• click the Delete Role button

Role Reference

This section allows you to view the current list of roles. The list displays:

• role
• servers
• file permissions
• file restrictions
• path permissions
• path restrictions
• export to index

The following functions are also available:

• search
• filtering by each column
• creating a role
• creating a role from a template
• Navigating to the modification section by clicking on the Role Name
