Data storage
The primary Smart Monitor storage is of type OpenSearch. You can also connect additional storage systems of type ClickHouse.
Support for connecting additional storage systems of type OpenSearch will be added in future versions.
The Data storage section brings together storage connections, data units, and search spaces. A connection defines access parameters for a storage system. A data unit points to a physical object available through a connection. A search space groups selected data units.
For example, a connection to ClickHouse can provide access to a table named events. You can create a data unit named firewall_events for this table, then add it to the firewall_logs search space together with logs from another connection.
The section pages show source state and statistics. A search space card lists its data units, including unavailable ones, and shows summary metrics and a chart of known records.
