Installing the Content Module

The Smart EDR content module contains the main knowledge objects:

  1. Dashboards
  2. Tasks that generate incidents
  3. Tasks that generate directories
  4. Tags

The index settings (indexes) and policies (policiesism) are demonstrational and should be adjusted to meet installation requirements regarding data rotation and replication configuration.

Module Assembly​

The archive containing the Smart EDR content module is assembled using the script provided with the module:

  1. Extract the smart_edr-main.zip archive
  2. Navigate to the /smart_edr-main/bin directory
  3. Run the script build_pack.py

As a result of running the script, a build directory is created containing the smart_edr.zip archive.

Module Installation​

To install the Smart EDR content module (smart_edr.zip), follow the steps described in the corresponding section Content Management.

Installation Verification​

  1. Log in to the Smart Monitor interface
  2. Go to Dashboards (Navigation Menu - Main - Dashboards)
  3. Ensure the dashboards shown in the screenshot are available

  1. Go to Job Scheduler (Navigation Menu - Job Scheduler - Jobs List)
  2. Ensure the tasks shown in the screenshot are available
