Workflow

A workflow is a set of states and transitions that an incident goes through at various stages of its lifecycle. In Smart Monitor, a workflow is represented as a directed graph, where vertices are workflow statuses and edges are transitions between them.

Workflows define a clear scheme for incident processing: from the moment of creation to the final status, including transition rules and role restrictions. Multiple workflows can coexist simultaneously in Smart Monitor — they are assigned to incidents based on creation conditions.

For each created incident, the selection of workflow status is available directly within the incident itself. For example, this incident after receiving the In Progress status can be transferred to the Closed and Canceled statuses:
