Smart Monitor Installation

You can find detailed guidance on setting up Smart Monitor, including instructions for using the installer, helpful tips, and essential steps, in the Installation section.

Recomendations for using OS

In production environments, it is strongly recommended to use a separate server for each component. The documentation covers installation using the Smart Monitor installer, and all recommendations provided are tailored for this type of installation (The list of compatible operating systems is available in the section supported-operating-systems).

All important parameters for the tested operating systems are configured automatically and do not require any additional actions from the administrator. Certain pre-installed packages, described below, are required. Typically, the Smart Monitor installer is an archive containing components in directories, installers for each component, along with all their packages and modules.

To ensure the proper functioning of the Smart Monitor installer, you need to install the following packages:

  • zip version 3.0 or higher
  • openssl version 1.0.2k or higher

For RHEL 8, additionally, you need to install: libnsl2 version 1.2.0 or higher or libnsl version 2.28 or higher.

warning

To proceed with the installation, a license file is required. The location of the license file does not affect the operation of the installers.

note

After installing the components, it is strongly recommended to configure basic settings for modules in the Additional Components Configuration section.

In the Changelog section, you can read about the changes between versions of Smart Monitor. This section describes the new functionality of the platform, as well as bug fixes. Information is provided both about the platform as a whole and about each module individually.
