Asset parameters
The asset card contains all the generated information from sources:
- Base and advanced fields — information that was formed based on the previously created configuration
- Related objects — list of assets that are related to this asset, the panel is displayed if the object binding was configured in the
Link objectssection - Sources — panels containing information about the sources that participated in forming this asset
The following additional functions are available when viewing:
- Show change history — table reflecting all asset changes made by the user
- Link objects — menu responsible for linking inventory objects
The user can change the Advanced fields of the asset by clicking on the corresponding link. If the asset is manually created (indicated by the Custom object icon), the asset can be fully customized.
Changing asset parameters
Field changes are made as follows:
- If the object is created manually, the user can change the values of base fields.
- Advanced fields taken from the configuration also allow editing only values.
- When adding custom advanced fields, both the key and its value can be edited.
You cannot add your own parameters to the asset, they are determined only by the previously created configuration.
To save changes, click the Save button. To restore the original state of the asset fields, click Reset changes. If a manual object card is displayed and you want to delete it, click Delete object.
Asset linking
If you need to link an asset with another asset (or several), click the Link objects button, after which the object linking menu will be displayed. The menu consists of the following items:
- Entity name — name of the entity where the desired asset is located (entity name is determined by configuration)
- Binding object — list of assets of this entity
- Links — checklist to verify which assets need to be linked
Using the Add link button you will supplement the list for attaching asset(s). The Remove link button performs the reverse operation, i.e., removes the asset from the list. To save changes, click the Save button. If you need to clear the list completely, click Delete linked objects.
